Refund policy
Effective date: 20 August 2026
We want you to be confident ordering from 59 Nutrition. This policy explains how cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds are handled for orders placed through 59nutrition.com.
Start a return
Submit a request through our contact page. Include your order number, the email address used for the order, the item you want to return and the reason for the request. If an item is damaged, defective or incorrect, please include clear photographs.
Please wait for return instructions before sending anything. We will confirm the return address and the safest delivery method. Items sent without approval, or sent to an address not provided by us, may be delayed or lost.
Change-of-mind returns
You may notify us that you wish to cancel an eligible online purchase within seven calendar days after receiving it. To qualify for a change-of-mind return:
- merchandise must only have been handled as reasonably necessary to inspect it;
- hats must be unworn beyond trying for fit, unwashed and undamaged;
- bottles must be unused and in a clean, sanitary condition;
- nutrition products must be unopened, unused and have every safety seal intact; and
- the item should be returned with its original packaging where reasonably possible.
For an eligible change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item and for keeping it safe until it reaches us. We recommend using a tracked delivery service. Any refund will include the amounts required by applicable law. Where no statutory cooling-off right applies, original delivery charges are not refundable.
Products that cannot be returned for a change of mind
For health, safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept a voluntary return of:
- opened nutrition products or products with a broken or tampered seal;
- used bottles;
- worn, washed, altered or customer-damaged merchandise; or
- gift cards or other non-returnable items identified before purchase.
These exclusions do not apply where an item is defective, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, damaged on delivery, or where you otherwise have a right to return it under applicable law.
Damaged, incorrect or defective items
Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us as soon as reasonably possible if an item is damaged in transit, incorrect, unsafe or defective. Prompt notice, preferably within seven days, helps us investigate delivery issues quickly, but it does not reduce any statutory right you may have.
Where we supplied the wrong item, or an item arrived damaged or is legally defective, we will arrange the return at our risk and expense and provide the remedy available to you under applicable law. Proof of purchase is required, but original packaging is not required for a valid defective-goods claim.
Goods supplied to consumers include the automatic quality protection provided by the South African Consumer Protection Act. If goods fail to meet the applicable quality standards within six months after delivery, you may return them without penalty and at our risk and expense for the remedy available under the Act. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised alteration or ordinary wear is not a product defect.
Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to stock availability. The quickest option is usually to return the eligible item for a refund and place a new order. If we approve a direct exchange, we will confirm the replacement and delivery arrangements before you return the original item.
Refunds
We will inspect a returned item and tell you whether the refund has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. We aim to process them within 10 business days after receiving and inspecting the return. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the credit.
If a refund due under applicable law has not appeared within the legally required period, please contact us through the contact page with your order number.
Order cancellations
If your order has not yet been dispatched, contact us immediately and we will try to cancel it. Once an order has been dispatched, it must follow the return process above.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or replaces rights available under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or any other applicable South African law. If this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right, that legal right applies.
Contact
Return requests and questions can be submitted through the 59 Nutrition contact page. Do not send a return to our business or billing address unless we have confirmed that address in your return instructions.
